Round Three 2017   4 Sep - 24 Nov
With the help of MinecraftEdu, a specialised education edition of the popular Minecraft software, students explored the world of programming and lua-code in Mr Slater’s MineCraftEdu PEAC course. Students created programs which were then applied to their own robots, called ‘turtles’ in a visual environment. They used problem-solving strategies and teamed up with their peers to complete design challenges undertaken by their programmed robots. With their own design, the teams were required to program their turtles to build a bridge that went over a body of water of exactly 192 blocks in length. Students used commands such as loops and if-statements amongst others. Below are some screen shots of the turtles in action in the Bridge Design Challenge world.
